What can you do?
There is a couple ways for you to support me. One way, that I hope everyone does, is to provide prayer support while I am gone, and the other is to provide financial support (this can be done at www.prairie.edu). I am going to be needing a lot of prayer while I am gone and I hope that you can pray for me. I hopefully will be posting updates quite frequently that will give you guys an idea of where I am, and what I will need prayer for.
Prayer Support
I will take all the prayer you can give! Here is a quick list of things that you can pray for and I will post requests in my blog posts.
Pray for:
- For language learning so I can speak with the kids that I meet while on my internship in Brazil.
- That the team can get along well, and interact well with the cultures we enter.
- As I lead the team that we can get along and any conflict can be solved peacefully and in prayer.
- That God can continue to open my eyes to the world and those who are in need.
Financial Support
This internship will be costly, but fortunately it is tax deductible. The expected costs for the six months in Brazil is $500 a month, I will also have plane travel between a bunch of different countries, and the three months with the team. The total expected cost of the internship will be $1,666 a month.
